Learning and Growing with TIIDELab: Week 1 Recap

New skills, new perspectives and a renewed passion for tech

The first week of TIIDELab Cohort 6 Pre-Fellowship 4.0 has been impactful, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from esteemed mentors. Our onboarding ceremony on June 20, 2024, featured insightful remarks from guest speaker Mr. Orakwe John MBA, TIIDELab founder Mr. Kadir Salami, Mr. Shamms, and TIIDELab Alumni Unclebigbay.

Throughout the program, I have enhanced my skills in decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and social skills, in addition to developing my technical expertise. Recently, we had a software skill development class anchored by Mr. Shamms, focusing on the importance of attitude. Additionally, our community event on X featured discussions on navigating the tech world, led by TIIDELab Alumni Mr. Damilola Oyedunmade, Mr. Popoola Rahmat, Unclebigbay, Mr. Najeeb Yusuf, and Mrs. Gladys Luke.

Our classes and assignments have covered HTML and CSS, and I have gained valuable knowledge from Unclebigbay's sessions. Specifically, I have learned about absolute and relative paths, table attributes, input attributes, navigation using the nav tag and id, and adding multimedia elements to web pages. Currently, we are working on a barbershop website project, applying our new skills to design and style the website.

Thanks for the journey so far and thank you to the entire TIIDELab team and mentors for their dedication and support.
